Find the 3D-Design Studio

I was not given any information on how to get to the 3D Studio. The only instruction given was to get from the main doors of Breidenstein to the 3D Studio. At no point in the building were there any arrows or a list of room numbers to help with this process. The only room numbers that were given were outside of each lab/classroom/studio/office, which doesn’t help people if they don’t know how to get there. The only clue to help find the destination was floor numbers in the stairwell. Breidenstein could use both arrows and a list of room numbers around the building to help assist in this process. Yes, I did have to trace my steps because there were multiple ways to get to the room, so I backtracked to explore other possible routes. However, I didn’t have to retrace my steps at any point due to confusion.

There should be directional information inside stairwells. Due to there being two doors on each floor to get out of the stairwell, there should be signs on which door to take that will lead to the easiest possible route to the destination. There should also be room numbers on the ceiling (or wall) to help assist in finding said destination. The second entrance was very close to the first entrance, so a majority of the pathways were the same. The second entrance led right into the stairwell, which was decision 2 in entrance one. Therefore, the same problems presented the same.

All students seem to have a good idea of where they’re heading due to the fact we are halfway through the semester. Remembering back to the first day of the semester when I didn’t know where I was going I definitely could’ve used some sort of arrows or a list of numbers to help assist in finding my classrooms. The location was pretty easy to find, however there were many possibilities on which direction you should take. Any path you took would take you to the destination, but for someone who’s going to that place for the first time wouldn’t know that and could get confused very easily. Breidenstein is an easy building to navigate once you get the hang of it. For someone who is trying to navigate it for the first time there could be some upgrades to the building such as arrows and a list of room numbers.
